Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, Dr. Chad Hoge received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Jamestown College in 2001 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center-College of Dentistry in 2005.
While in dental school, Dr. Chad completed an externship on a North Dakota Native American reservation and spent a great deal of time on pediatric dental treatment for the area children. This sparked a genuine interest in the field, and prompted him to continue his education at The Ohio State University-Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He completed a two-year pediatric dental residency while also earning a master’s degree in 2007.
Dr. Chad is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, North Dakota Dental Association, and Southeast District Dental Society. In 2007, Dr. Chad received the Pugh Award, which is awarded to pediatric dentists who score in the top 3 percent on the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry written exam.
Dr. Chad’s greatest rewards in practice are communicating with children to make their dental experiences as positive as possible, and helping to educate parents about their children’s current and future oral health care needs.
Dr. Chad is a self-proclaimed “sports nut” and enjoys attending college and professional sporting events, playing golf, and reading. His favorite sports teams are the Los Angeles Lakers, St. Louis Rams, Nebraska Cornhuskers and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Dr. Chad and his wife, Mikala, have one daughter and a boxer dog, Roman.
